Dick Dudley

Dick Dudley are a four piece band from Liverpool (UK), Sydney and Melbourne. Jim (guitar) and Richard Harris (vocals) met counting pennies for lukewarm pints surrounded by Scouse accents at the Kazimier Garden. Justin Lee Williams (Bass) was living on the streets of Paris painting flowers, while Sebastian Stefani (Drums) was sorting out a PhD in Neuroscience. 

Their disparate influences, life experiences and career trajectories remarkably, implausibly, come together to form Dick Dudley; a melting pot of Australian post-punk textures, Liverpudlian witticisms and no-wave sensibilities.

Here is an outfit making music that sounds like it lies in the gutter, but looks to the skies. Co-helmed by Jim’s intricate guitar compositions and Harris’ playfully acerbic outlook, Dick Dudley are stridently battling against their own lack of notoriety with equally compelling recordings and live performances. After a prolonged period existing solely through word-of-mouth and the occasional on-stage appearance, Dick Dudley is finally ready to make their debut.
